Foreign Secretary faces questions from Lords committee on various crucial international issues

On Wednesday 30 April, the Foreign Secretary, the Rt Hon David Lammy MP, will appear before the House of Lords International Relations and Defence Committee to answer questions on UK-US relations, the war in Ukraine and implications of any proposed peace deal, the Israel/Gaza and the Israel/Palestine conflict, UK-China relations and other aspects of foreign policy.

The session will start at 2:00pm and will be available to watch live or on demand at Parliament TV, or attend in person in Committee Room 4, Palace of Westminster.

Other topics for discussion will include:

  • Iran nuclear programme
  • The implication of cuts to foreign aid and other soft power tools
  • The conflict in Sudan
