What impact has Brexit and the Windsor Framework had on the community and voluntary sector in Northern Ireland? Lords Committee to examine

At 10:45am on Wednesday 30 April the House of Lords Northern Ireland Scrutiny Committee will continue its inquiry into Strengthening Northern Ireland’s voice in the context of the Windsor Framework hearing from civil society and voluntary sector representatives.
In the third evidence session in its inquiry, the Committee will hear from:

- Ian Jeffers, CEO, Co-operation Ireland
The evidence session will take place in Committee Room 2, Palace of Westminster and will be available to watch on Parliament TV.
The Committee is expected to ask the panel questions on:
- The impact Brexit and the Windsor Framework has had on the community and voluntary sector and also communities on the ground in Northern Ireland
- The extent to which the voices of Northern Ireland civil society and voluntary sector organisations are being heard in the context of the Windsor Framework
- How accessible it is for Northern Ireland civil society stakeholders to engage with the structures which govern the Windsor Framework
- The opportunities available for Northern Ireland civil society and voluntary sector stakeholders to engage jointly with the UK and the EU under the Windsor Framework
- Whether civil society stakeholders have the opportunity to engage directly with the European Commission
- Whether the UK Government and the Northern Ireland Executive Office provide sufficient support to civil society and voluntary sector stakeholders to enable them to engage with EU stakeholders effectively
- The opportunities civil society organisations have to engage with the NI Assembly on issues related to the Windsor Framework
The Committee‘s call for written evidence inviting individuals and organisations to submit written submissions closes 5pm on Wednesday 30 April.
