Lady Chief Justice annual evidence session

The House of Lords Constitution Committee will tomorrow be holding its annual evidence session with the Lady Chief Justice, Baroness Carr of Walton-on-the-Hill

Topics the committee will consider include:

  • The working relationship between the judiciary and the Government 
  • Steps taken to foster a good relationship between the judiciary and Parliament 
  • The independence of the judiciary 
  • At what point backlogs undermine the constitutional principle of access to justice 
  • The success of the Transparency and Open Justice Board to date. 

The session will take place on Wednesday 26 February at 10.15am and can be followed live on Parliament TV.
