Climate Change Committee questioned by Lords

The House of Lords Environment and Climate Change Committee will hold a one-off session with the Climate Change Committee (CCC) on Wednesday 2 April.

The session will start at 10am in Committee Room 4, Palace of Westminster and can be followed live or afterwards on Parliament TV.

Giving evidence will be:

  • Emma Pinchbeck, CEO, Climate Change Committee;
  • James Richardson, Chief Economist, Climate Change Committee

Members are expected to ask questions on:

  • the seventh carbon budget;
  • the CCC’s relationship with departments across Government;
  • costs of getting to net zero by 2050;
  • public engagement priorities for Government;
  • challenges and opportunities for addressing greenhouse gas emissions in the agriculture sector;
  • large-scale biomass generation;
  • electric cars;
  • heat pumps.
