Lords Northern Ireland Scrutiny Committee seeks urgent clarity from UK Government on status of critical Veterinary Medicines at risk of discontinuation

The House of Lords Northern Ireland Scrutiny Committee has today ( Monday 10 March) written to The Rt Hon Nick Thomas–Symonds MP, Minister for the Constitution and European Union Relations, asking for urgent clarity on a number of questions that remain unanswered relating to the supply of veterinary medicines and the consequences for Northern Ireland agriculture and human health.

The letter follows up on correspondence received by the former Windsor Framework Sub-Committee on 20 November 2024.

The Northern Ireland Scrutiny Committee has requested a response to its letter by 3 April when the House rises for the Easter recess.
