The Public Administration and Constitutional Affairs Committee (PACAC) will hold the first public evidence session of their inquiry into the 2024 general election. 

In response to the announcement of a new independent commission on social care, the Chair of the Health and Social Care Committee, Layla Moran MP, said:

Chair has written to the Chancellor, asking for information on how the Government decided to set aid spending at 0.5%

Members of the Committee will seek an update of the situation facing claimants, and on DWP policies and processes under the new Government before it reports its findings

In a report today the Commons Business and Trade Committee calls again for legally binding timeframes on Government at each stage of processing claims under the Horizon Convictions Redress Scheme – backed by financial penalties awarded to the claimant if the deadlines are missed.
