75th anniversary of the European Convention on Human Rights in the spotlight

On Thursday 20 March, members of the House of Lords will debate the 75th anniversary of the European Convention on Human Rights.
Debate
Lord Alton of Liverpool (Crossbench), chair of Parliament's joint committee on Human Rights, will put forward the debate.
This is a general debate. During debates, members put their experience to good use to discuss current issues and draw the government's attention to concerns.

- Lord Murray of Blidworth (Conservative), barrister at 39 Essex Chambers.
Baroness Chapman of Darlington (Labour), Minister of State (International Development, Latin America and Caribbean) in the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, will respond on behalf of the government.
