On Thursday 3 April, members of the House of Lords debated the impact of the government’s economic and planning measures on farming and rural communities.

Debate

Lord Roborough (Conservative), dairy farmer and shadow minister at the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs, put forward the debate. 

This was a general debate. During debates, members put their experience to good use to discuss current issues and draw the government's attention to concerns.
