A debate, introduced by Lord Pendry, on UK tourism's contribution to the economy, took place in the House of Lords on 14 May.

Members of the Lords with expertise in, and experience of, the tourism industry, the economy and more, contributed to a wide-ranging discussion of the issues.

In the House of Lords Members may table questions for debate, usually up to two hours and a half, on a specific issue or matter of concern. A minister responds on behalf of the Government.
