Petitions
Petitions are an easy way to bring your concerns to the attention of Government and Parliament:
- Paper petitions must be presented on the petitioners' behalf by an MP or member of the Lords.
- E-petitions that reach over 100,000 signatures are considered for debate.

Previous e-petition debates and public engagement
E-petition debates allow MPs from all parties to discuss the important issues raised by one or more petitions, and put their concerns to Government Ministers.
The Petitions Committee often conducts public engagement to help inform petition debates. It does this by creating surveys or holding meetings with experts and members of the public directly affected by the issues raised in petitions.
