1. ACA REVIEW (MEC)
The Committee agreed in principle, subject to the completion of the appeal process, to make a report to the House with the report of the ACA Review and the appeal outcomes appended early in February. It also agreed that the next tranche of allowances information should be published on the same day.
The Committee approved expenditure on three additional days' media advice for the ACA Review.
2. HOUSE'S INTERNATIONAL STRATEGY
The Commission took note of the paper.
3. HOUSE'S ENVIRONMENTAL STRATEGY
The Commission endorsed the environmental strategy.
4. CGT DECLARATION (MEC)
The Committee amended a sentence in its decisions of 20 May to read as follows [added words in italics]: "Members who own more than one home must make a declaration in respect of any property on which they are claiming PAAE that it is not their main residence for capital gains tax purposes."
5. INTERNS
The Commission agreed to carry out further work to devise a policy for internships at the House of Commons, which would be informed by the principles set out in the report of the Panel on Fair Access to the Professions and would be for implementation in the next Parliament.
6. NEXT MEETING
The next meeting of the Committee will take place on Monday 1 February 2010 at 4.30 pm and the next meeting of the Commission will take place on Monday 8 February 2010 at 4.30 pm in Speaker's House.
